The strawberry and banana smoothie recipe for kids makes one serving and is easy to increase by adding more fruit and liquid.

Ingredients

  • 1 small, ripe banana
  • 1 cup ripe strawberries
  • 1 cup almond milk or a liquid of your choice

Variations:

Sometimes the fruit has not reached its full ripeness and requires additional sweetener. Then consider adding sugar to taste. To replace breakfast with a glass of smoothie, add the oats. It will increase the content of slow-burning sustenance.

A spice that boosts the natural flavour and sweetness is vanilla essence. Add one or both ingredients before blending.

Thickener:

  • 1/4 cup oats

Spice it up:

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla essence

Step by step instructions

  1. Fill the blender jar with the peeled, ripe banana and the washed strawberries.
  2. Add one cup of almond milk or the liquid you prefer.
  3. Close the lid of the blender jar and blend the fruit mix for thirty seconds or until smooth.
  4. Add additional ingredients before blending.

The strawberry and banana smoothie taste at its best fresh. That means preparation is more favorable just before serving. Add sugar to taste. Sometimes the strawberries or bananas lack the sun-ripened flavor. To correct it add sugar to enhance the flavor.
