Italian Inspired Basil Pesto Recipe

This pesto is an all-time favorite. As a spread on freshly baked bread, mashed with an avocado mixed under pasta with vegetables or to refine a salad dressing.

Pesto ingredients:

  • 2 cups of basil, fresh
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup of parmesan, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Step by step:

  1. Put the wash and spin-dried basil with the peeled garlic and olive oil into one container and blend it with a hand blender.
  2. Add the pine nuts and mix.
  3. Add the grated parmesan cheese.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Blend well all ingredients to a smooth texture.
